How to Apply Foundation:
I believe that foundation shouldn’t mask the face, but rather even out the skin tone for an overall natural look. I wanted to share with you in this quick video the 3 techniques I rely on as a makeup artist to achieve healthy looking, glowing skin with makeup. If you feel like you still need to cover up some blemishes or discoloration after you have evened out your skin tone, it’s best to do this with concealer and sparingly, as less is really more when it comes to covering up.
In this video I used three of my favorite tools for applying foundation but also three of my favorite foundations. Nars Sheer glow ( in Sante Fe) is a lightweight foundation that also does a very good job at covering imperfections. Makeup Forever HD foundation (N120) is one of my favorites for photo shoots as it adds coverage that is imperceptible to the eye and the camera. Finally Benefit’s Hello Flawless (Honey) is a great everyday foundation as it adds a nice sheer glow to the skin and this warmer tint, with more yellow tone to it, gives my skin a healthy look.
