I sometimes receive odd requests when I work on photoshoot productions, mostly makeup advice, but recently I had a client ask me in desperation where he could pick up a Clairsonic skin device ASAP. I’ve been using the Foreo Luna Mini, in my favorite purple shade, for 2 weeks now. My skin feels extremely smooth after cleansing without any irritation. I think it’s an excellent, gentle way of exfoliating while cleansing. It’s pulsations felt odd at first, but like my Oral B electric toothbrush, I just don’t feel clean anymore unless I use it (if you own one you know that super smooth feeling when you run your tongue across your teeth after brushing.)The device is completely waterproof making it easy to use even in the shower. It’s rechargeable battery lasts up to 7 months with one charge through your computer (so hi-tech!) And it’s very easy to use, just wet your face and the device and with any cleanser you choose you massage your face. You can even regulate the strength of the pulsations. I even have used it under my eyes on the gentle setting to de-puff- it helps!
How does it work? It delivers up to 8,000 transdermal sonic pulsations per minute through its silicone touch points which allows for a deep cleanse removing dead skin and unclogging pores. According to the company, this also helps improve the absorption of skin care products.The silicone bristles also harbor less bacteria than other skin devices.
Since I opted for the smaller and less expensive Foreo Luna mini, I can’t give my review of its anti-aging capabilities, but according to the company the reverse side of the Luna delivers lower frequency pulsations to help smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
