I have a love/hate relationship with my feet. On one hand I’m very thankful they can carry me through marathons and I can dress them in super cute shoes, but on the other they are just plain ugly! I will spare you the details but I am not blessed with those really adorable small feet with perfect toes and super soft skin, like babies. No, I have issues that include shoes rubbing on parts of my feet causing calluses and being that I live in sandal centric Miami, this is a problem.

So I am really happy to have found Baby Foot! I had read about this product and had seen it on the shelves in Asia but hesitated to buy it, mostly since I read that your feet peel in sheets! I forgot about it but one day I found it in Target and could no longer contain my curiosity.

Leave it to the Japanese to make these adorable little plastic booties filled with the exfoliating  foot peel product. You just have to put them on and relax for about an hour ( I don’t recommend trying to walk around while wearing them, as I did, or you may find your feet slipping from under you and you on the floor in a heap!) Then rinse your feet in warm water and voilà that’s all there is to it.

Then you have to wait. You have to wait at least 5 days to notice anything happening. I almost wrote a review on the blog saying that it didn’t work, almost. But then at day 5 I noticed my feet peeling at the heels, and then the toes and well basically anywhere there was  dead skin needing to be shed. It’s not pretty! Even my son was prompted to ask me what was wrong with my feet. Which is why I recommend trying this in the winter months while your feet will be covered up in socks, shoes and boots.

The wait is worth it because after 5-10 days, depending on the severity of dead skin you may have, your baby foot will be revealed. Soft, touchable and just like a new born (well not quite, there’s nothing to be done about their shape and size).

So now my feet are ready for sandals, for some pretty polish, for summer and the sand between my toes…
