Spa Etiquette

Colleen celebrated her birthday last week and treated herself  to a little gift : a day at a luxurious spa!  Afterwards we had a small discussion about spa etiquette because we don’t have the same views at all!

I, Colleen, as an artist am very attracted to the design, decor and ambiance of a spa.

Alix, on her side, wants to get straight to the point and have a great deep tissue massage…the decor is an accessory.

So Alix, I am kind of shy about what I am supposed to wear during a massage… Ummm… do you keep your underwear on during a massage?

Well no! First the masseuse needs to have access to your whole body and I LOVE a butt massage.

Bon Colleen, do you prefer to be massaged by a gorgeous Adonis of a man or by a strong woman?

Well I wouldn’t say no to an Adonis…but I prefer a woman.

I really love all that aromatherapy and warm neck pillows and soothing music, for me that’s what helps me relax and  escape reality, Alix don’t you agree?

Frankly, I don’t give a damn! For me it’s the skills of the masseuse that really makes a massage for me. And once the massage is finished, I’m up and out the door. I’ve got lots to do.

So you don’t take advantage of the showers?

What do you think….no never!

I bet you, Colleen, you spend hours in the relaxation room!

Of course, I love to take my time after a massage , drink a detox green tea, spend a moment in the sauna or steam room and then slowly make my way to the lobby…BLISS!
